Who we are
Van de Graaf & Meeusen (VDGM) is a genuine family business, active in inland waterway transportation with its own fleet of ships and push barges. Founded in 1994, our leading office, which is being renovated this year, is located in Ridderkerk, boasting a beautiful view of the Maas river. We. have our own chartering department, enabling us to provide suitable ships tailored to specific cargo needs, ensuring we meet our customers' requirements.
What we do
At Van de Graaf & Meeusen, we specialize in brokering between shippers and transporters for goods transportation across European inland waters. With years of experience under our belt, we have our own push barges and also collaborate with private vessels to transport a variety of goods both locally and internationally. This allows us to offer our clients a transportation guarantee and support their sustainability goals.
Our fleet consists of 8 push boats and almost 50 push barges, offering a mix of owned and leased vessels. Our clients range from producers to consumers of various goods, and we're often part of a larger transport chain handling everything from supply, transshipment, and onward transport. We pride ourselves on our flexibility, sometimes providing rapid delivery, while at other times our barges serve as temporary storage solutions. Our dedicated team is available 24/7.
Today, we are recognized as one of the significant players in the mass bulk goods transportation industry, operating in countries like the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and Germany.
